Statement of Destined Purpose

A Dissertation written by Pastor Selara R. Mann, Jr.

Long before "Mega Super Star" Preachers, whose own personal importance far overshadow the lost's ability to see any substantive Christ light (enough to make Simon the Sorcerer look humble)…Long before "worldwide child molestation by church leaders" scandals, that are being covered up by individuals claiming to be the Christ's first and only true church… Long before common men claimed to be the second coming; who cattle-car foolish, naive individuals onto large plots of private land under the guise of "euphoric commune," twist scriptures and develop doctrine that seem to always lead to only one foundational plot, sex (raising children from birth in this abomination, so that it would be the only normalcy they know)... Long before folks just decided that it would be normal to ordain "gender bending," "cross dressing," sexually perverse individuals to leadership positions in pseudo-churches, using the same scriptures that contain the lessons of Sodom and Gomorrah, as if the story is not even there…

Long before the "name it and claim it," alleged faith healing, snake handling movements emerged, which claimed to model heaven's miraculous authority, but wouldn't even let "people of color" in its tents originally… Long before the turn of the twentieth century, when under the direction of a black man, (who according to historic account, sought out the indwelling of the holy sprit at the Texas religious school of a white preacher, who made him sit in the hallway, away from the other students because the teacher believed in strict segregation) the resurgence of the Biblical "Day of Pentecost" experience was to have taken place; which in hindsight served only to further divide the races along denominational lines and gave us seemingly endless "gibberish speaking," with no interpretation as the Bible requires in I Corinthians 14...

Long before an early 19th century so called "second spiritual awakening" transpired in the northeastern United States that brought us everything from folks who believed that they could calculate and predict the second coming of the Christ (their predictions were wrong each time they tried), people who believed that He returned just that nobody could see it, new "made up" archangels, special undergarments, the resurgence of polygamy practices among Christians, and even a commune so bizarre in nature, that one of its members went on to assassinate an American President… Long before the foremost scholar of the church in protest, was a French born, Swiss resident who was so taken by the personal theological theories of an ex-mystic, 5th century Priest in the Latin church on topics such as "just war," and "total depravity," until to this day, a large portion of Christians question whether or not we even have "free will" as human beings… Long before the fight over personal interpretations of the biblical "Godhead," and what to call it (Trinitarianism vs. Modalism for instance), led a pagan Roman Emperor to call the world church leaders together, command them to agree on one way of thinking concerning the Christian religion, and basically assigning the task of compiling what would be included in the original Bible to one man…

Long before the outlook of even first century followers of Christ were so iconic and misguided in their admiration of men that they took the opinions that were written in several letters by a condemned church leader from Antioch, coined a name for the entire "world" church, and found conspiratorial inspiration for the changing of the original Sabbath Day... Yes, long before what has equated to thousands of years of man's interpretive, philosophical, and often maniacal additions, which has largely diluted the faith to put it kindly; there was the original commission of the Christ Himself to us, a call to go into all of the world, a call to preach HIS words, and a prophetic promise that we would do even greater things than what He accomplished when He walked with us that very brief time in the flesh.

That my friends is our destined purpose!
