The Power of Information... The Strength to Believe

"The Power That Lies In Words"

Pastor Selara R. Mann, Jr.

November 13, 2013

Words..... we often discount their power and lack a healthy respect of their impact upon reception. They are a creative force, a representation of how we feel, how we think, and how we imagine the future to be. Words are the colors and the pen of all we see physically, not something concrete. They are the greatest first to ever be. When we look around us, at progress or a lack there of, so much of it is based in what we speak. In Proverbs 18:21 it states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” But ever wonder why that is? The answer is simple. Words are borrowed from God. They are not our own. In John 1:1 it states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Everything that was ever spoken into existence occurred through words. Jesus the Christ was and is literally the mouth of God, becoming a flesh sacrifice for all mankind.

So, are we thinking about God when we bless or curse those around us, either in frivolity or purposed? Are we analyzing the reality of all God created with mere words when we open our mouths to speak. When we use our tongue conceptualized and created originally with words, do we remember that what we say is simply borrowed from Who created us....

Join Pastor Selara R. Mann, Jr. as he takes an in-depth look at the power that lies in words through the use of real-life scenarios and Biblical examples. Follow along with him as he lays the foundation for why it is vitally important for our spiritual as well as natural success to maintain a healthy respect for the creative tool that is our tongue.
