Hurt (v) - to damage or decrease the efficiency of (material object) by striking, rough use, improper care, etc.; to injure, harm, to affect adversely; to cause mental pain to, offend or grieve.
Synonyms - mar, impair, afflict, wound, ache, slight.
[Frank/Middle High German] hurt meaning "a collision".
Pressure (n) - the exertion of force upon a surface by an object, fluid, etc. in contact with it; state of being pressed or compressed; a constraining or compelling force or influence.

Lingering hurt is one of the most powerful emotions/feelings that humans encounter due to the fact that the most common literal human response to it is nothing and thus we remain bruised. The buildup of pressure due to hurt's presence in our systems manifests itself in anything from use of profanity, to extreme tempers, to immense isolation and distrust. Despite what we desire to believe, it does not exist within us without side-effects becoming present. It is an infection. God desires us to live free, however hurt causes us to be inefficient and impaired.

Join Pastor Selara R. Mann, Jr. as he takes an in-depth look at hurt and the pressure it exerts through both the use of real-life scenarios and Biblical examples. Follow along with him as he lays the foundation for why it is vitally important for our spiritual as well as natural success to live free from hurt. There is an answer.
