Dogma (n.)-a religious doctrine that is proclaimed as true without proof. Opinions settled or fixed by an authority.

Teach (v.) -To impart knowledge of or skill in, give instruction to. Synonymous with “educate”, which means to “ share” the meaning of imparting information, understanding, or skill.

Rules and regulations have been around since time immemorial and as human beings we have fought against them for just as long due to our very nature and the most powerful force ever created by God being instilled within us-our free-will. Religious organizations have, whether with good intentions or not, mastered the art of the basis of the word religion-religare, meaning to tie or to bind, through their implementation of dogma.

One could observe that over time these rules have proven to have done more harm than good by creating a world in which the opinions of man have come to mean more than God’s truth and the binding and control of religion has become more apparent. There is often a dillema faced between time and the importance of education in every phase of society-not simply from a religious stand point but from a secular one as well. Actual teaching and imparting of knowledge has often been compromised in the interest of time itself and personal agendas. It is easier to make a rule, than explain and teach how to live so someone can make their own. Dogma, through dividing God’s people through denominational lines, has often made the freedom of God spoken of in John 8:32 appear to be simply an illusion, making salvation appear to take on a negative light.
